This project focused on creating an educational presentation for shelter staff, volunteers, and adopters to promote understanding and support for spay/neuter surgery. It highlighted the health and population-control benefits of the procedure while improving communication with the public.

Overall, the project reflects my ability to combine veterinary knowledge, teaching strategies, and communication skills to support animal welfare and shelter success.

This project focused on canine demodicosis in animal shelters, emphasizing diagnosis, treatment options, housing decisions, and ethical considerations. It highlighted how shelters can successfully manage affected dogs through medical care, foster placement, and transparent communication with adopters.

Overall, the presentation demonstrates my understanding of shelter medicine by combining infectious disease management, animal welfare decision-making, and practical strategies to improve outcomes for dogs in shelter care.

This project focused on developing and presenting a Standard Operating Procedure for DAPP vaccination of dogs at intake at The Humane Society of North Florida. It emphasized the importance of immediate vaccination to prevent the spread of contagious diseases, protect shelter populations, and create a consistent standard of care.

Overall, the project demonstrates my ability to apply shelter medicine principles, disease prevention strategies, staff training, and operational planning to improve animal health outcomes in a shelter setting.

This project developed Community Care Connect, a mobile preventive veterinary clinic designed to expand access to affordable care for underserved communities in North Central Florida. The presentation outlined clinic operations, staffing, workflow, volunteer recruitment, budgeting, and sustainability strategies to provide vaccinations, wellness care, parasite prevention, microchipping, and client education.

Overall, the project demonstrates my ability to combine veterinary medicine, shelter medicine, public health, and program management to create practical solutions that improve animal welfare, reduce shelter intake, and strengthen the human-animal bond.

This project developed a series of social media marketing posts for the Humane Society of North Central Florida to increase community engagement, promote fundraising, and raise awareness of support programs. The content used platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to highlight pet food assistance, medical rescue stories, and fundraising campaigns for veterinary services.

Overall, the project demonstrates my ability to create strategic digital communications that inspire donations, strengthen community relationships, and support animal welfare initiatives through effective marketing.
